Meet the Board: Spotlight on the Awards Director

Do you know your Board? In the latest of a continuing series on the 2013-2014 SMPS Boston Board of Directors, we’re focusing on the Director of the Awards Committee, Rebecca Roy.

Rebecca would no doubt like to remind you that the Call for Entries for the 2014 Recognizing Outstanding Communications (ROC) Awards is now live—don’t hesitate to send in your best marketing materials by April 10th! And don’t forget to sign up for the Gala on June 5th at the Taj Boston.

For Rebecca Roy, the best part of membership in SMPS is connecting with her peers: “Marketing and business development is all about developing relationships, and being part of SMPS lays the groundwork for those relationships.”

After nearly a decade in the A/E/C industry, she couldn’t be happier. As Marketing Manager for BOND (Bond Brothers, Inc.), Rebecca gets great fulfillment from helping projects move from business development to successful completion. A member of SMPS since 2005, she recently helped lead the Awards Committee in transforming ROC Awards submittals from paper copies to an online format, making the process more sustainable.

When she’s not hard at work for BOND or steering the Awards Committee, Rebecca enjoys running and practicing yoga daily. Learn more about Rebecca’s professional background and her history with SMPS.
