As the kids head back to school, we too must continue to sharpen our skills and learn new best practices. Please join us in October as we kick off our education series. This year’s series focuses on the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) exam preparation – with our six programs following the SMPS six domains of practice: marketing research; marketing plan; client and business development; SOQs and proposals; promotional activity; and information, resource, an organizational management.

A CPSM designation is one of the greatest benefits of the SMPS organization. Its education is tailored specifically to teaching the industry standard for all facets of marketing and business development for the built environment. In studying for my CPSM and chairing four study groups, it continually impresses me just how directly relevant this is to our professional development.

So join us as we kick off the first education program on October 13, featuring Krista Sykes as she discusses her research from the 2011 SMPS National Foundation White Paper on best practices in competitive intelligence – and hang out after at our Mix@Six social at Back Bay Social Club. And stop by my Gilbane Boston office on October 19 for the CPSM Info Session to learn more about the upcoming study group.
